Brian Golden and the Jethawks Hall of Fame
Brian Golden announces the 2013 Jethawks Hall of Fame candidates. The defending California League Champion Lancaster Jethawks will conduct their 11th Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony prior to Friday night games against the High Desert Mavericks. Brian will profile each of the five inductees in the Class of 2013 this week in the Valley Press.

What an incredible year the JetHawks are having! They won the California League Southern Section first half in dramatic fashion they continue to lead the Southern section in the second half. And the Flight Crew Booster Club (FCBC) is part of the action. The FCBC supports players with the Friday home game dinners, Sunday home game pot lucks, Home Run and Strike Out the Side Buckets, and membership and fund raising efforts.

Antelope Valley (Palmdale, Calif.) Press sports columnist Brian Golden, in his 25th year with the paper, was inducted into the Lancaster JetHawks Hall of Fame this fall, highlighting news from the West Region.
Golden’s columns in the 1990s chronicled and commented on the efforts to bring minor league baseball to the Antelope Valley, which came to fruition 15 years ago.
The JetHawks are a Class-A member of the California League and affiliated with the Houston Astros.
